merry christmas

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! WE HAD A VERY SPECIAL CHRISTMAS THIS YEAR-NOT ONLY WAS IT GRAYSONS VERY FIRST CHRISTMAS, WE ALSO GOT TO SPEND IT WITH FAMILY(AND THERE WAS SNOW) IT JUST IS SO MUCH MORE SPECIAL WITH SNOW-IT FEELS MORE LIKE CHRISTMAS. GRAYSON WAS SO CUTE. THE SMART LITTLE BOGGER FIGURED OUT HOW TO OPENED HIS OWN PRESENTS. HE WASNT REALLY INTERESTED IN WHAT WAS INSIDE BUT HE THROUGHLY ENJOYED THE WRAPPING PAPER. MY FAVORITE PART WAS READING THE CHRISTMAS STORY(WHICH TRIED TO EAT-THAT SEEM TO BE THE THEME FOR GRAYSON) TO GRAYSON AND ALSO WHEN THE GIRLS WERE SINGING CHRISTMAS BELLS AND GRAYSON WAS LAUGHING AT THEM. WE BOUGHT GRAYSON ONE PRESENT(HIS JUMPEROO). THIS YEAR CHRISTMAS FOR US WAS ABOUT WHAT CHRISTMAS IS REALLY ABOUT. JESUS FIRST THEN FAMILY.

moving to maine

well as most everyone knows by now we have made the move back to maine. it has been a very interesting couple of weeks. i have not been able to do much blogging since i have been just a little busy:) we made it here and have finally found our necessities and setteled in at my moms. john has started his job hunting so please pray that God directs him where He wants him to be. this journey has been filled with a number of mixed emotions. while we are very excited to see our family, we miss the pikes and the girls so very much. we also miss our home we built together. john and i are both nervous and excited to see what God has planned for us. we ask for your prayers as this is a very challanging time for us as a family. grayson has adjusted great-he is just the happiest little guy! i will try and keep everyone updated. here are some picts of our moving that my mom took(i was running around trying to get the house packed up in just a week and a half while taking a 4 month old)

well we made it to maine safely and have got to see plenty of snow! now i dont think it is ever going to stop snowing:) i am going to update his weekly picts and will have to do a more detailed update later.

VACATION

well we are back home. we all had a wonderful vacation. john and i so enjoyed taking grayson back to where mommy and daddy grew up and having him meet all the people we love so much. the first slid show is of christmas with our nieces and nephews since we will not see them for christmas.(except jillie and tucker-they were with daddy)

boy was it hard leaving-we miss everyone so much already. please continue to pray for us that God will open doors where He wants us.

HAPPY 7th BIRTHDAY HALEY!

haley turned 7 nov. 28. cant believe how time flies, seems like just yesterday she was a baby. we were not here on her birthday so we gave her a present when we came home from our thanksgiving vacation. here are a few pictures.

14 weeks old & 3 month pictures taken

videos

i know i do not usually do a post in the middle of the week but we got some really cute videos. the lighting is not the greatest but the sound is. about 3 days ago grayson discovered his voice. he has been talking for a while now but not like this. it has been hard to get on tape as we need both mommy and daddy there. last night was one of those nights. the first video is of him talking and the next 2 are of him laughing-really laughing.we would have loved to have him meet everyone sooner, but i think now is a great stage as you can really enjoy him. he is so much fun. john and i spend hours playing with him. he will get us laughing so hard. he is one of the happiest babies. he has so much personality which he has had from the time he came out when he was making faces at the nurses. hope you enjoy-cant wait to come home!

p.s. just to let you know, we got his 3 month pict done. we went to jcp and olan mils. i will let you know when you they are available to view online. he did great! i thingk he smiled in almost every picture. we ordered 6 different poses so you will have to let us know which pose you like and we will TRY to honor your wishes.

halloween/12weeks etc

well as you can see by the post title, i have alot of catching up to do. first we will start with halloween. auntie stacy and uncle doug got grayson the cutest frog costume for halloween. we wanted him to be a frog cause when grammie and grandpa came to visit we started calling him frog legs cause of the way he would sit. anyways we decided he should be a frog for his first halloween. it was alteast 70 degrees here on halloween and as you will see his costume was very warm. at first he hated it, but then we stripped him down to just a onsie and took off his sockd ans shoes put his costume back on and he did better. he went to a few houses and then ended up falling asleep.

lastly, we had to put his room together even though it is not yet painted because we have to have the house neat and done up so we can get ready to put it on the market. we hung all his pictures and animals up. his room looked so cute we took some photos.

fun with my new toy

when we were home for the fourth of july grandpa bob and grammie tish gave us $50 to toys r us so this past weekend we decided to take grayson shopping and find him a new toy. we found this really cool exersaucer. it is for babies that are 4 months, but we tried it at the store and grayson really liked it. mom and dad had to pitch in as grayson was a little short on cash but grayson had so much fun that we just had to get it for him:) thank you grandpa and grammie! here are some pict and video of him playing for the first time.

10 weeks

well yesterday was grayson 2 month check up. he was 12 lbs 13 oz and 24 in. he also got 4 shots-it was terrible. i do not know how parents do it. i cried. then again i cried whenever the girls got their shots as well. here are photos and a slideshow of some of my favorite picts
